Stern is a gastroenterologist on staff at Mountain West Medical Center,
practicing with Tooele Medical Group, Dr. Stern graduated from the
College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1996 and completed an internal
internship and residency at Michigan State University. There, he served
chief resident during his final year. He followed his residency with a
gastroenterology fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Stern believes that changes in diet and lifestyle can have a significant impact on those dealing with gastrointestinal concerns, and he likes to partner with patients in coming up with a plan to address specific health issues. He specializes in colon cancer screening, heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), digestive problems, Celiac Disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Crohn’s Disease and much more. Dr. Stern and his wife enjoy skiing and camping with their three children.

Fast Track Colonoscopy
American Cancer Society recommends that individuals receive a screening
colonoscopy beginning at age 50 (or earlier if you have an increased risk of
colorectal cancer). Screening exams are shown to reduce colorectal cancer
incidence and mortality.
Our Fast Track Colonoscopy
program allows a healthy person, age 50 and older, access to a gastroenterologist to perform a screening colonoscopy without the extra time and expense of a prior consultation.

Also, it’s important to bring a list of your current medications, your
insurance card and photo ID.
